I guess you really want to lose some
weight, but you don't want to spend hours and hours in the gym looking at all
the slim muscle fixated girls and guys in tank tops, who don't seem to be able
to sweat?
I guess you're a normal person who
likes to eat a bit too much, who likes the sweet nice candy and likes to live
your life a bit relaxed without being a crazy Hollywood actor.
I had way too many pounds on my
belly a few years ago and I had the same thoughts about my weight like you
probably have right now, and I also had and still do have the same thoughts
about living a bit relaxed and not being paranoid about what I eat.
I had approx. 55 pounds that I had
to get rid of for being of normal weight, and I tried a lot of different
things, workouts etc. without luck, until one day I found the formula for
getting rid of "overweight".
It's a long process to lose weight,
and it won't happen overnight, but you can get rid of the pounds and that's a
guarantee, but it takes some effort, and it will take some fall backs where you
have got to get back on the track again.
First thing in the process of losing
weight is that you have to work with your mind. You have to be in charge of
your brain because:
YOU MUST HAVE A GOAL FOR LOSING WEIGHT
TO SUCCEED
Without having a goal for losing
weight you won't succeed. A goal for why you really want to lose those extra
pounds. We are all different but basically we are all fixated about looking
good, because life is just easier when you are slim. I lost 55 pounds under a
year, and trust me when I say - you will get a lot of benefits from going
through the weight loss process.
The first step on your way to lose
weight is to spend some time wondering why you want to lose weight, besides the
"obvious" answer that you want to be thin.
You need a goal for why you want to
lose weight, and that goal has to be so clear for you, that you want to follow
your new weight loss decision through, and follow it through until you have
reached the end goal of your weight loss.
When you have spent some time
wondering why, and you have found the goal, write it down on a piece of paper
and put it in your pocket, and under your pillow when you sleep - basically
have it on/with you 24/7 so you always remember why you want to lose weight.
That piece of paper is your contract
with yourself, and when you are in front of the candy store or somewhere else,
that little piece of paper will remind you of your goal: to lose weight.
Next step is to go public with your
goal. Tell your husband/wife, kids, friends, coworkers, someone who will
remember it and remind you of your goal. Going public with your goal creates
the kind of contract which is hard and embarrassing to break. The difference
between dreaming and having a goal is taking action to achieve it, and the
mindset is the key to lose weight that lasts. The only thing standing in your
way, as always, is you! That's one crucial factor that is in your control no
matter what happens.
YOUR MINDSET HAS TO BE CONTROLLED
AND TO DO THAT, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR DAILY ROUTINES
Do you drink soda every day? Or eat
candy in front of the television? Or just use way too many hours sitting in
front of the television? Or never make any kind of exercise and I don't just
mean running, cycling, the gym etc. but even a 30 minutes' walk?
Myself I spent way too many hours
doing nothing, and I realized that besides a solid goal to achieve success, I
also had to change my daily routines and stick with it.
You can also change all the bad
daily routines right now but will it last? Or will you return to the old
routines in 14 days or a month? Most of us do that. Instead start changing your
bad routines slowly and have them implemented in your life. For instance if you
drink soda every day, and I know it is hard but think of your piece of paper
with your end goal, and drink water instead of soda. Next time you are in front
of the soda store, visualize your goal and buy a water bottle instead of soda,
and don't go down the road and think Cola light, Pepsi max etc. is the same as
water because it isn't, Light products are still soda and bad for weight loss.
When Saturday comes and you haven't had a soda the entire week, reward yourself
with a soda - and visualize your end goal and drink that ONE soda, it will probably
taste rather good.
After some weeks you will have
changed your bad routines with the soda example and implemented it without
giving it any thoughts. It becomes normal to drink water instead of soda, and
then you can change the next bad habit that's in your way of losing weight.
Weight loss is simple in text - The
correct motivation makes it is easy in real life also.
